Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War


The 2004 South Korean film tells a story of two brothers and their struggles to survive the 1950 Korean War. When North and South Korea are still at the brink of chaos, Jin-tae Lee (Jang Dong-gun), who owns a shoeshine stand for a living and to support his brother’s education, is enlisted to join the war.

By a circumstance, they both went to war, Jin-tae and his dearly brother Jin-seok (Won Bin). As they strive to keep themselves alive, more events came to happen. Their love for each other was tested through the war as misunderstandings and conflicts came to place.




In the end, the movie flashes to the present where an old Jin-seok reminisce his brother’s remains.
Watch and feel the emotion as renowned actors Jang Dong Gun and Won Bin portrays in one of the historic events in Korea.
