The greedy Gaesomun plots series of events to make the king agree with the war creating plots, misunderstanding and false accuses. He involves his son, reminding Choong how a son should repay a father and to choose sides.

Unluckily, Gaesomun fails and instead, he planned a coup and killed the crown prince and the king with Soo-hee witnessing. She also saw Choong and thought that the man she loved betrayed her, not knowing that Choong secretly risked his life to protect her.

Soo-hee was then thought to be dead too but a secret group took her to safety and as the fall of the king, Jang, the king’s nephew who is also greedy of power, is enthroned as the king, while general Gaesomun becomes the dictator of the kingdom, more powerful than anyone.

Soo-hee, now devastated and seeks justice, changes her name to Moo-young which means shadowless, vows to come back to avenge her families death. But as she faces the event, will her anger be replaced with forgiveness, once she sees Choong?

In the drama, king Yeongnyu asks her daughter, which is stronger, a flower or a sword? Then he explains that the sword can cut the flower but the flower will still bloom over time and the sword will yield. A metaphor between love and anger.
