Song Joong-ki (Hangul: 송중기)

He was able to enter in the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University because of a high standing on his grades.

He became an actor who played different roles in TV series and films. At first, it was just cameos and extras, but now he plays well on lead roles.

He became more popular in the Korean series "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and the variety show "Running Man". Also appearing on TV guesting and modeling.

Yes, he is Goo Yong-ha of the high-rating "Sungkyunkwan Scandal". The upperclassman in the Sungkyunkwan that befriends the lead actors Park Min-young as Kim Yoon-hee and Park Yoochun as Lee Sun-joon

He had a cameo in the TV series My Fair Lady in 2009 as a butler, with Yoon Eun-hye and Yoon Sang Hyun

He also had the role as young King Se Jong, who was the fourth King of Joseon in the Korean TV series "Tree with Deep Roots"

In 2012, he made a break in portraying Chul-soo, the beast-like orphan who falls for the girl who taught him lots of things, in the thriller A Werewolf Boy

TVXQ – the boyband you’d definitely want to meet

This South Korean pop group was formed under SM Entertainment and later debuted in 2003. With members’ leader U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, HeroJaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu.

What’s with the name?

Internationally they are known as TVXQ, an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (traditional Chinese: 東方神起)

In South Korea they are known as Dong Bang Shin Ki (Korean: 동방신기), often abbreviated as DBSK

And in Japan they are called Tohoshinki (Japanese: 東方神起).

Their name translates to "The Rising Gods of the East".

TVXQ became a big hit in Korea and among all Asian countries. They were labeled as “Asia’s Stars”; “King of K-pop” and “K-pop Royalty”. They were able to release 6 Korean albums, 5 Japanese albums and over 50 singles. According to Gaon Chart and Oricon, TVXQ were able to sell over 11 million albums in Korean and Japan and over 20 million copies world-wide. By 2006, they began their tour internationally and they never failed to please the crowd. Their fanclub also gained a Guinness World Record in 2008 as having the most number of fans in the world.

Changmin & Yunho

On November 2010, an announcement was made that TVXQ will be returning as a duo consisting of Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho. The other three members filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and later on won. Xiah Junsu, Hero Jeajoong and Micky Yoochun now call themselves as JYJ.

Though boy groups get disbanded or not as long as  they make music, love what they do and be good persons inside and out, fans will still be there for them and love them.

Born: June 4, 1986

Trivias:

1.       Yoochun was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, then his family moved to the United States when he was in the sixth grade.

2.       He then went back to South Korea, where he joined SM Entertainment.

3.       He has a younger brother named Park Yu-hwan who is also an actor.

4.       Yoochun has a bracelet given by his brother which he never loses on his wrist. <so sweet of him>

5.       When shooting for Miss Ripley, he was rushed to the hospital because of an acute gastroenteritis. <hmmm... skipping your meal isn’t good Micky>

6.       Yoochun’s Rooftop Prince press conference last March 5, 2012 gained a total of 11.5 tons of donated rice from fans all over 30 countries. A breaking record on the history of any drama press conference. These donations will go to the needy and malnourished children.

7.       Micky Yoochun and After School’s leader park Ga Hee were lovers from way-way back.

8.       Micky’s first kiss is on kindergarten.

Mickey Yoochun of JYJ: Proves them Wrong

Park Yoochun also known on his stage name as Mickey Yoochun, the South Korean singer, rapper and song writer, now proves himself as a prime time korean drama series actor in the latest Korean series, Rooftop Prince.Yoochun is one of the three members of the South Korean pop group JYJ, which were also former members of the pop group TVXQ.

He made his debut as an actor in the 2010 Korean drama series Sungkyunkwan Scandal. He received many awards including the most prestigious awards in South Korea, The 47^th Baeksang Arts Awards, and won “Most Popular Actor in a TV Drama”.

The Korean series Rooftop Prince, where Mickey Yoochun played the role of Lee Gak, is his latest soap with co-stars Ha Ji-min. Lee Gak is the crown Prince of the Joseon Dynasty, but on a supernatural event, he and his royal courts are transported in the future, where he will meet the hard working woman Park-ha. As they dwell in the present time, they will encounter circumstances that will sooner help them solve their personal issues and develop a love for each other.

 His role in the Korean series really impressed critics, where in the series he showed his skills as an actor. He won the fans with his funny antics and charisma, as he displays his talent in acting ("I was lucky that I got to act in a drama where I felt totally connected to the script, and was able to work with other great actors and a terrific production crew. “I had let the responsibility of playing the male lead and it overwhelms me. The job would have been exhausting, but I was able to immerse myself in my role and it was great fun,") he said in an interview.

Though many boy group members today strive their best in acting, still only few receive good critics and acclaims, most especially in various prestigious awards.
