Shin Min Ah is very popular in Korea and internationally, because of her stunning beauty and good acting skills. She is also a model, and she can sing as well. She is not just beautiful outside but inside as well, for she is known with humble personality.
Career
Shin Min Ah debuted as a model for KiKi Magazine and has since appeared in many commercial and films advertisements, becoming one of the most in-demand commercial and films endorsers in South Korea.
Notable among her forays into branded entertainment is the 2008 multi-episode Summer Days opposite Hyun Bin and Ryu Seung-beom for LG Xnote featuring music by Yoo Hee-Yeol, as well as Friends & Love, a movie-style extended advertisement for Giordano in 2011 costarring Jung Woo-sung and So Ji-sub.
In 2008, Shin became the first Asian celebrity to do a photoshoot with a Calvin Klein model. The spread with Jamie Dornan was shot in Milan, Italy, and published in the September 2009 issue of Elle Korea.
In 2011, she was selected as the first Asian model for a DIY project with American clothing brand Rag & Bone. Other models chosen included Miranda Kerr, Carolyn Murphy and Karolina Kurkova.
A performing arts major at Dongguk University, Shin has also appeared in numerous K-Pop music videos, contributed her vocals to several singles and soundtracks, and has published a travel book titled Mina's French Diary.
Shin made her acting debut in the movie "Volcano High" and would appear again two years later in "Madeleine". Her breakout performance would occur in the 2005 gangster film "A Bittersweet Life". Her character, Hee-soo, displayed a mixture of purity and maturity that captivated South Korean audiences.
Since that time, Shin Min-A has received an assortment of acting offers from top Korean directors and expanded her acting repertoire by selecting various types of roles: from martial-arts comedy "My Mighty Princess" to 70's go-go dancer "Go Go 70s" to smaller independent film "Sisters on the Road". She is also the lead actress in the movie "The Naked Kitchen". She was also cast with Rain in a drama called "A Love To Kill".

More recently in 2010, Shin Min-A became more popular because of her drama, "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" with actor singer Lee Seung Gi. She sang two of the OST in this drama.
Her latest drama "Arang and the Magistrate" with Lee Joon Ki is still airing in Korea.
