SM Town in Beijing Concert, a Success with Over 70, 000 Fans

After the Seoul, LA, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Shanghai Concert Tour, SMTOWN landed in Beijing and dragged thousands of Chinese fans.

SMTOWN Live World Tour III in Beijing was held at the Bird’s Nest and artists like Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Jang Li Yin and TASTY performed their best and made the fans go crazy. This was SMTOWN’s first concert that the group TASTY from Woollim Label joined on stage.

The artists performed their hit songs and some collaboration summing up to an event of 49 songs, 46 artists, 16 dancers and other 190 staff members. This huge concert also brought a total of 18, 000 security personnel, which is the first time in the stadium’s history, where they have to assure the safety of almost 252 people from Korea and to make the event run smoothly.

Their next stop is Tokyo, where they will hold the SMTOWN Live World Tour III in Tokyo Special Edition on October 26 and 27.

“Super Show 5” here at Manila

The Kings of Hallyu Wave, Super Junior, is set to make K-Pop fans in the Philippines scream again with the Super Junior World Tour - “SuperShow 5” this October 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Philippines was not included in the band’s Super Show 4 tour last year and their making it up to their Filipino fans that now that they are coming here with a promising performance.

Super Junior's Kim Kibum on 'Lucky Tempo'

One of Super Junior's cutest member Kim Kibum is a little bit busy with his filming of an upcoming Chinese drama “Lucky Tempo”.

The drama is held on the time of Ming Dynasty. In the image above, the characters are dressed with the periodic era and singer/actor Kim Kibum is earnestly embracing the Chinese actress Chen Yu Lin.

Netizens’ curiosities are now settled, saying, “When will it air?”, “Was wondering what Kim Kibum was up to, so he is actually filming a drama in China.”

Kim Kibum will be the lead character Zhu Tian Bao, who is the youngest son of King Jianxing in the series. Last year, Kim Kibum also stars on the Korean TV series “I Love Kim Tae-ri” where he is paired with the famous actress Park Ye-jin, which is older than him.

Idols on stage, gods of study at school

Your idols are not just voices and dances, in their early lives, they were “nerds” that excelled on their perspective schools.

1. Taecyeon

2PM’s Taecyeon, Ok Taecyeon in real life was a well-rounded student during his high school and elementary. When his family migrated to the United States when he was 10, Taecyeon attended Bedford High School and became active with track and soccer, jazz club, chess club, and was part of the National Honors Society, as well as a variety of English, Korean, Spanish, Chinese languages that he mastered.

He later went back to Korea and studied Business Administration at Dankook University.

2. Onew

Known as Onew in stage, this 23-year old leader of the boy group SHINEe, is also a top student in school.

Onew said in an interview with audiences on their 20s as they talked about how it felt to have good grades, “I’m actually really shy so I never thought I’d go into the field of entertainment. But in high school, I started to practice my singing. But I also studied hard. In my junior year of high school, I came in second place in the whole school [in terms of grades].”

Even in before, Onew loved to sing but he never let his academic fall because he also achieved the national highest score for their high school SATs exams.

3. Kyuhyun

Cho Kyuhyun is one of the main vocals of the famous group Super Junior.

During high school, Kyuhyun said to have won a Math Olympics award, as many had known his mathematical skills are great. He said he likes spending hours solving math problems. He was top on his class and also famous in his language skills.

Kyuhyun was also urged to take up law but shifted to singing and music when he joined a band during high school. He became more interested on music but his father was against it, so he tried his best to pass an entrance exam in a university, where now he majors Post-modern Music.

See how MBLAQ's Thunder speak Tagalog

Born as Park Sang-hyun (Korean: 박상현), he was known by his stage name Thunder (Korean: 천둥; Cheondung). Member of the South Korean idol group, MBLAQ, Thunder is also the younger brother of 2ne1’s Sandara Park.

Thunder and all his family, lived in the Philippines for a decade, that’s why speaking Tagalog is one of Thunder’s talents. Because of her sister’s sudden fame on the entertainment industry in the Philippines, the whole family decided to go back to Korea and pursue her activities there. In Korea, Sandara managed to enter YG Entertainment while Thunder became a trainee under LOEN Entertainment.
